After placing an order for one of our DNA kits, the DNA kit will be delivered to your doorstep. The kit includes everything you need for testing at home. Follow the steps explained in the kit and send us the sample in the prepaid envelope you can find in the box.
No, taking samples is absolutely painless and doing it at home makes the whole process more comfortable for you and your dog.
After the DNA sample arrives to our facility, we will analyze it thoroughly. You will get the result in 6-8 weeks via e-mail, or after logging into your client portal here on our website. The results will be presented in any easily understandable way and will give you an overview on how you can improve your dog’s life. Of course you can show the results to your vet, and we encourage you to do so. Please do not take any action until you’ve discussed the results with your vet.
Yes, our sampling kit was designed in a way to withstand extreme weather conditions, and even postal delays. Once you put the sample in the collection tube, the liquid in the tube will stabilize the sample. In this stabilized environment, your dog’s DNA will be suitable for analysis for a very long time.
While Pawomics DNA kits can detect certain health risks, the results should not be considered a medical diagnosis. If there is a risk, the good news is you can still do a lot to improve your dog’s health and prevent the disease.
