IS THIS TEST FOR YOUR PET?

Get to know who they are.

A DNA test is a good fit if any of these sound familiar.

Mixed breed or rescue

You’re curious about their breed mix and background.

Why they look the way they do

Coat, size and other features they inherited.

Planning ahead

You want to prepare for care at each life stage.

Talking with your vet

You’d like more information to bring to checkups.

Dogs and cats

One test for either species.

Test once

DNA doesn’t change, so one test covers their whole life.

A genetic marker is not a diagnosis. Review any health result with your veterinarian.

CHOOSE A TEST

Not sure this is the right test?

Each test looks at a different part of your pet’s health. Results arrive in about a month.

AFTER YOUR RESULTS

From report to everyday care.

Test

Swab at home and mail it back. Your report arrives in about a month.

Understand

Start with a plain-language summary, then explore breed, traits and genetic health.

Support

Share the report with your vet and plan care for each life stage.

Do I need to retest? No. Your pet’s DNA doesn’t change, so one test is enough.

A report doesn’t diagnose or fix a condition. It gives you clearer information to make care decisions with your veterinarian.

HOW WE READ DNA

Sequenced, not sampled.

The DNA Health Test reads your pet’s DNA by sequencing, rather than checking a fixed set of markers. Your report explains each result in plain language, notes what it can’t tell you, and is ready to share with your vet.

  • DNA read by sequencing, not a fixed marker panel
  • Plain-language results with clear limits
  • Built to share with your veterinarian

Questions, answered.

What does the DNA test show?

Your pet’s breed mix and ancestry, inherited traits and genetic health markers, in a plain-language report you can share with your vet.

How is it different from a microbiome test?

A DNA test reads your pet’s own genes, which don’t change. A microbiome test looks at the bacteria living in the gut, skin or mouth, which can shift with diet and care.

How is the DNA read?

By sequencing. Your pet’s DNA is read directly, rather than checked against a fixed set of markers.

Does it work for cats?

Yes. The DNA Health Test is for both dogs and cats.

Does a health marker mean my pet will get sick?

No. A marker shows a genetic variant, not a diagnosis. Many pets with a marker never develop the related condition. Review results with your vet.

Do I need to retest?

No. Your pet’s DNA doesn’t change, so one test is enough.

Do I need this test before buying probiotics?

No. Our probiotics can be part of daily care on their own. A test simply adds more information if you want it.

How long do results take?

About a month after the lab receives your pet’s sample. We email you when your report is ready.

Is return shipping included?

Yes. Every kit includes a prepaid return mailer.

Can I return a kit?

Unused and unregistered kits can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Once a kit is activated or a sample is sent, it can’t be returned.
